The Advantage of the Chub: Last Longer in Bed!

There is rarely thought to be anything good about being overweight in bed unless you have a fetish that runs that way. Men and women alike are more likely to have a lower sense of self esteem, they may have lower energy and men are more likely to have erectile dysfunction. But if you’re having trouble taking the weight off, there could be an upside to those love handles, aside form giving each other something to grab onto: obese men are more likely to dodge premature ejaculation than thinner men.

A study published by the International Journal of Impotence Research seems to point to the idea that obese men lasts on average about four and half minutes longer than lean men. It may not sound like much, but this is an odd correlation to discover, especially when you consider the fact that erectile dysfunction and obesity have long gone hand in hand. So how has being overweight helped these men?

The main hypothesis is that overweight men produce more of the female hormone estradiol. This hormone may be responsible for delaying the ejaculation reaction in men, at least for those few minutes. The study that found this was done over a year and compared obese men with leaner men and their sexual tendencies. It was found that obese men last an average of four minutes longer than the fitter guys; an average of just over seven minutes as opposed to the three minutes for men who were in shape. Obviously these are just averages; some leaner men are going to last longer than fatter men for other reasons.

But don’t go packing on the pounds just yet! Obesity is still linked to erectile dysfunction and it could be that while you last longer in the beginning, you won’t be able to last at all later on in life. Furthermore, it’s hard to get up the energy to have sex when you are overweight, so you may last longer, but you won’t be able to do it as often. There is probably a happy medium in there, but it will differ from man to man and it’s not really worth the health risk to find out when there are other methods of curing premature ejaculation. Still, it’s an interesting correlation and at least a silver line if you have been struggling with your weight and self image.

There are lots of much safer ways to deal with premature ejaculation. They include things like doing Kegels, thinking of something other than your orgasm, practicing the start-stop method and using something like Gambir Sarawak to help you prolong your ejaculation reaction. But if you’re overweight, at least you know that you have a decreased chance of getting PE in the first place, but losing some weight might not be a bad idea anyway since you don’t really want to pay for your lack of premature ejaculation later with erectile dysfunction! Good luck and take care of your health.
