Is Premature Ejaculation Purely Physical?

When looking at sexual dysfunction issues, many people lump female libido problems into largely being caused by emotional problems and male libido problems as being caused by physical problems.  However, there is quite a bit of blurring in the causes for both genders.  Finding the best premature ejaculation cure therefore is all about understanding that this problem isn’t caused solely by physical issues; premature ejaculation can also be caused by mental or emotional issues as well.  What are some of these more intangible issues that can cause a man to have problems with delaying ejaculation?

Stress

Stress has been linked to problems in how to last longer in bed for men.  Stress makes it hard to concentrate on what you’re doing and hard to even care what you’re doing.  This means that you’re more likely to ejaculate quicker in order to get it over with.  Stress is a normal part of everyday life, but it has to be managed properly or else it will soon take over your life and everything with it.

Depression

Depression is more often linked to erectile dysfunction, but it can be found in instances of failing in delaying ejaculation too.  Generally speaking, if a man is feeling sad or low and has sex, he will have a harder time getting erect and then lose it quickly.  This can then feed into his depression by making him feel inadequate, leading to a spiral of depression.  It’s normal to feel sad or low; what matters is dealing with it in a healthy and appropriate manner and you may find your premature ejaculation cure along the way.

Shame

Shame is rooted in more in shame over masturbation than in shame over sex (Though there can be a certain amount of shame in sex as well).  As teenagers, many boys are told, or at least implied, that masturbation is wrong, yet the urge still has to be dealt with.  This leads most young men to ‘get it over with quickly’ before they are caught.  The speedy need continues on into sexual relations, making it hard to learn about delaying ejaculation.  Still other men may have learned as children that sex is wrong or shameful, so when called upon to do it, they try to avoid it or do it quickly.  Shame can be hard to get rid of, but it’s important to realize that both sex and masturbation are normal and healthy and not to be done as fast as possible.

Just Not Caring

Some men just don’t care how fast they are to their partner; they only want their own pleasure.  For these men, it’s hard to find a premature ejaculation cure because they don’t think they have a problem.  Eventually though, most of these men realize that they are having one failed relationship after another and so look for ways of delaying ejaculation on their own terms.

There are plenty of physical reasons for premature ejaculation, but there are also usually mental and emotional problems getting in the way too.  It’s important to sort out which reasons are which so you can go about finding your best premature ejaculation cure.
